In accordance with the Stay at Home order, the Montie Beach Civic Club is cancelling our Crawfish Boil (3/28), MBCC General Meeting (4/2), and Easter Egg Hunt (4/4). We will of course let you know, depending on public health advisories, if we are able to hold our next General Meeting on Thursday, June 5.

We are thankful that State Senator Carol Alvarado, State Representative Anna Eastman, and Council member Karla Cisneros sponsored our Crawfish Boil, and look forward to planning a future event under their sponsorship.

In lieu of the Easter Egg Hunt at Montie Beach Park:

Members with children, please contact Amy Gutierrez at amy@montiebeach.org, and she will drop a bag of Easter eggs on your front porch.

Non-members are welcome to make a donation (or join MBCC!) for a bag of eggs. Again, contact Amy for a drop off plan. Additionally, MBCC will donate 500 eggs to Browning Elementary School, as well as to local bars, restaurants, and caterers to share with neighbors who come for take out.

Speaking of take out: please support our local bars, restaurants and caterers who are providing take out and/or delivery! We have a Local Businesses tab on our web page listing our neighborhood establishments, with as much helpful information as is known to us. If we have neglected a business, or if we need to add or delete information, please contact Juan Gallegos . The City of Houston through Houston Parks and Recreation Department continues providing food for children through age 18 at Montie Beach Park and 49 other parks throughout Houston.

HPARD at Montie Beach Park:

Curbside Meals for Children 18 and under (Child must be present)
Mon - Fri, 1 - 3 pm. While supplies last
Comidas gratis para niños 18 y menores (el nino/la nina tiene que ser presente)
Lunes - viernes, 1 - 3 pm. Mientras duren las reservas
